Draw the harmonics of your patch directly, paint spectrally shaped noise, or drag in an audio sample or an image and it resynthesizes it into a playable instrument. The engine is digital, but most of it is analog modeled, so it has some warmth and movement to it.

The Spectral Synthesizer is an additive spectral synth. Instead of starting with oscillators and a filter and subtracting, you build the sound up on the Spectral Canvas: draw the harmonics of your patch directly, paint spectrally shaped noise, and sculpt the timbre with a brush.
You can also drag in audio samples or image files and it resynthesizes them into playable, evolving instruments. There is a standard subtractive engine in there too for more traditional sounds. The engine is digital, but most of its parts are analog modeled, so you get some tape warble, pitch drift and saturation baked into the sound.
A short walkthrough of the canvas and the workflow.
Clone the timbral DNA of any audio file or image. Drop in a sample or a photograph and get a playable instrument in seconds.
When you want a starting point, one-click Pattern and Sacred Geometry generators build complex spectrograms for you.
Draw harmonics, paint spectrally shaped noise, and erase with a brush. There is a proper undo, so you can experiment.
More than warmth: pitch drift, tape warble, saturated delay feedback, even simulated tape dropouts.
Sculpt the core timbre by switching between All, Even, Odd, and Inharmonic modes.
Map any parameter to hardware in seconds. Click MIDI, touch a knob, move your controller. Done.
